How we support your child at KHS
The main point of contact for your child is their House Pupil Support Team. As well as receiving one contact period of Personal and Social Education (PSE) a week, appointments can be made upon request. Please see below for house contact details:
Who do I talk to when...
...my child has excelled in sport/dance/music or other activity outwith school?
Please let us know - we encourage celebration of pupil success and would appreciate any information. Please phone the school office 01577 867100 with details.
.... my child is sick?
If your child is unable to attend school due to illness, please phone our 24 hour absentee line 01577867199. Please state your childs' name, Tutor Support Group, year and the reason they are absent. Thank you.

If your child has an appointment for any reason, please phone our 24 hour absentee line 01577867199. Please state your childs' name, Tutor Support Group, year, date, time and type of appointment. Thank you.
... my child is unhappy at school?
Please ask your child to have a chat with their Guidance Teacher. If you feel that you would like to have a chat with a guidance teacher please initially contact the house team (see contact details at top of page).
...I'm not sure which bus my child should get on?
If your child is entitled to free school transport but you are unsure which bus, call the Transport Department on 01738477375.
Who do I make a cheque payable to when I would like to pay for...
...CDT or Home Economics Fees
The most preferred method of payment for this is through ParentPay. Link to ParentPay Website https://www.parentpay.com/ However should you need to pay by cheque, please make cheques payable to Perth and Kinross Council.
...a school tie
School ties are £5.00 for a junior tie (S1 - S4) and £9.00 for a senior tie (S5 and S6). Please make cheques payable to Kinross High School, sold from the School Office.
...a school blazer
School blazers are £49 and stock is managed by KHS Parent Council. There are specific dates when blazers are sold within the High School and Primary Schools. However please do not hesitate to come to the school office if you need a new one. Please make cheques payable to Kinross High School Parent Council - KHSPC
...a school trip
Our most preferred method of payment for trips is through ParentPay. Link to ParentPay Website https://www.parentpay.com/ However if you need to pay by cheque then cheques should be made payable to Kinross High School. There may be odd circumstances whereby the payment will be due to another organisation but you will be notified of this in the trip information letter.
The school normally use Tempest for all school photographs. Please place your payment and order form into the envelope provided. Cheques are made payable to Tempest.
All food within Kinross High School (and the Campus) is supplied by Tayside Contracts. Our most preferred method of payment for dinners is through ParentPay. Link to ParentPay Website https://www.parentpay.com/ Cards can have money added to them via the reval machines in the school, cheques should be taken to the Dining Hall main servery office and the staff there will add your cheque to the total on your dinner card

Children born on or between 01.03.99 and 28.02.03 can apply for 2018/19 Education Maintenance Allowance online from Thursday 21 June 2018 at www.pkc.gov.uk/ema Forms will not be available at the school office as in previous years.
