Health and Wellbeing

As a faculty, we strive to provide the highest quality of learning and teaching for all our pupils. We promote the values of a healthy lifestyle which will not only allow our young people to develop essential skills for life, but also to go on to develop successful careers.   As well as having opportunities to develop their skills for work, our courses also focus on personal development; pupils learn how to demonstrate respect and tolerance and build positive relationships by working closely with each other.  Lessons are designed to promote active learning with shared lesson intentions and success criteria, whilst also providing opportunities to develop their literacy and numeracy skills.   Pupils will develop a broad range of skills by taking part in a mix of team and individual activities which encourage creativity and presentation. Physical activity lessons provide an element of choice based on the interests of pupil groups.
