N4/5 Chemistry

Course Overview

Content

 The course builds upon work done in S3. This will include covering; moles, acids and alkalis, metals, bonding, plastics, fertilisers and nuclear chemistry. This iwill allow pupils to be presented for the Natinal 5 SQA exam.

Assessment

 Regular tests are given after each key area.  Pupils also sit a prelim as a mock exam.

Homework

 Homework is issued, on average, every two weeks.  This will include revision for assessment.  If no homework is issued, pupils are expected to be consolidating the content taught in class at home.

Recording and Reporting

 Parents are informed of progress by report cards and at parents' night.
