Expressive Arts

The Expressive Arts Faculty at Kinross High School consists of four subject areas: Drama, Music, Music Technology and Art and Design. Health and Wellbeing

As a faculty, we strive to provide the highest quality of learning and teaching for all our pupils. We promote the values of a healthy lifestyle which will not only allow our young people to develop essential skills for life, but also to go on to develop successful careers.   As well as having opportunities to develop their skills for work, our courses also focus on personal development; pupils learn how to demonstrate respect and tolerance and build positive relationships by working closely with each other.

Modern Languages

The Modern Languages faculty at Kinross High School offers six languages in total: French, Spanish, German, Mandarin, Russian and Arabic. Our dedicated and enthusiastic team of staff, led by Mr Struth, aim to offer all pupils a positive language learning experience. Through the skills of talking, listening, reading and writing, we enhance students' ability to communicate with others in a foreign language, to enable them to express their thoughts, feelings and ideas with confidence, and arm them with the knowledge of how language works.

The Social Studies faculty at Kinross High school consists of four subject areas: Geography, History, Modern Studies and RME. Social Studies aims to provide stimulating and relevant learning experiences for learners by developing a sense of identity within the world around them, both past and present. Pupils will experience a range of teaching methods designed to enhance their learning experience and provide challenge. We aim to develop skills that can be used both in learning, life and work such as debate, discussion, critical thinking and working cooperatively.
