Vision & Values
Our vision is of a school community where all members feel happy, safe, equal and are committed to doing their best in all things.
A community, which will provide opportunity, challenge and encouragement in a supportive environment.
A community where all learners are supported to achieve their fullest potential.
A community where striving for excellence is expected and celebration of achievement is certain.
We aim to provide a happy, safe and stimulating learning environment to meet the needs of all pupils and staff, enabling them to achieve their full potential.
We aim to foster a school ethos that is conducive to successful and effective learning and teaching, which will consistently nurture each child’s development emotionally, culturally, spiritually, socially and physically, as well as academically.
We aim to work in partnership with parents and other professionals in order that our young people achieve excellence as successful learners, effective contributors, responsible citizens and confident individuals.
The Development of Pupils' Values
In our school we are committed to provide suitable opportunities for the development of pupils' spiritual, moral, social and cultural values. These opportunities are delivered not only by what is taught in our classrooms, but also in the way pupils and teachers work together and relate to one another in every aspect of school community life. We aim to take account of the individual needs of pupils and the views of parents, whose partnership with the school is vital in this, as in so many other areas of young people's school experience.
The school welcomes and encourages diversity and individuality, while calling for a shared commitment to moral values such as honest, respect for others, compassion and justice. It is our belief that all who are involved in the life of the school, have both the right to be respected as individuals, and the responsibility to act in a considerate, co-operative and respectful way towards others.
